Destroy and collect telescope parts in a single match is one of the Seasonal Quests in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1.
Unlike other Seasonal Quests, this one has a deadline – giving you only a week to complete this challenge. If you do so, however, you’ll receive 25k XP which will help you unlock more of the Battle Pass skins.
First, you need to know the telescope locations and, then, how to destroy and collect telescope parts.

Telescope locations in Fortnite
There are 9 telescopes located across the Fortnite map:
It’s important to note that this Seasonal Quest will only be available for a week, so, if you don’t complete it soon, you won’t be able to reap the XP.
Aside from one, each can be found in a Seven Outpost – where you can also find the vaults. Check your mini-map to find an exclamation mark (!) when visiting one of these locations, because it roughly marks the location of the telescope.
To complete this challenge, you need to destroy three telescopes and collect the parts in one match. If you’re eliminated from the match in any fashion, then your progress for this Seasonal Quest will be completely reset.
For this reason, it’s a good idea to ensure you have a weapon and some Shield Potions ready when attempting this challenge in case you encounter other players.
We recommend visiting the three Seven Outposts on the far eastern side of the map, because they are located close together – almost organised in a straight line.
Starting with the most northerly outpost out of this trio, you can find the telescope sitting at the roots of the tree on the slope leading down the area containing the rifts.
The next telescope is located on the island -The Launchpad landmark – where you can find The Visitor. It’s in the smaller of the two buildings at the northern edge of the island.
The third telescope is located on the island directly south of The Launchpad and sits next to the front door for the building found there.
With all three telescopes destroyed, you will have completed this Fortnite challenge, but how do you destroy the telescopes?

How to destroy and collect telescope parts in Fortnite
To destroy a telescope in Fortnite, you simply need to hit the telescope with either your Harvesting Tool or a weapon. After doing so, a telescope part will appear for you to collect.
Remember – you need to do this three times on three different telescopes in three different Seven Outposts or at Sanctuary in one match. You also only have a week to complete this quest, so, if you want that extra XP, make sure you complete it before next Tuesday!
